Role Overview The Business operation manager is responsible for leading the team managing expense contracts and payments operations. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant execution of processes, owns end-to-end operational workflows, and contributes to operational stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The position works closely with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and internal control requirements

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the team responsible for expense contracts and payments operations.
  • Set priorities, allocate workload, and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution.
  • Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and onboarding of new team members.
  • Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and support development planning.
  • Process Ownership and Management
  • Own end-to-end processes related to expense contracts and payments within the area of responsibility.
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal processes, controls, and SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, approval flows, and segregation of duties, including SOX requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with timelines, quality standards, and control requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis
  • Track and review team performance metrics (volumes, turnaround times, backlog, error rates).
  • Analyze trends, inefficiencies, and recurring operational issues.
  • Prepare regular reports and performance insights for the Head of Operations and relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on data-driven analysis.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization
  • Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and manual activities impacting efficiency and scalability.
  • Initiate and support automation initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Participate in and contribute to projects related to new tools, systems, or process changes.
  • Strengthen scalability, efficiency, and operational resilience of processes.
  • Standards and Knowledge Management
  • Establish and maintain operational standards and ensure consistent application across the team.
  • Ensure clear documentation, knowledge management, and effective knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Key Qualifications & Experience
  • Must-have requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in usiness operations roles.
  • Working in global hi-tech companies with diverse cultures
  • Proven people management experience, including global team leadership and performance management of people offshoring.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, approval of workflows, and compliance requirements (SOX exposure preferred).
  • Experience working with SOPs, process documentation, and operational KPIs.
  • Experience with ERP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems such as Zip, NetSuite, Coupa, and similar platforms.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in multinational or multi-entity environments.
  • Experience in automation transformation, system implementations, or process
  • Experience working closely with Procurement, Legal, and Audit functions.
