- The Maintenance Intern will support the Packaging and Processing department in a yogurt manufacturing plant by updating planned maintenance tasks, reviewing required spare parts, frequency rates, and min/max inventory levels
- You will work closely with Maintenance Leaders to improve processes within the maintenance department

- Providing leadership and direction on process improvement
- Owning assigned areas and tasks
- Working with counterparts, managers, maintenance mechanics and maintenance leaders
- Reviewing CMMS data and proposing changes to improve reliability
- Conducting data studies on breakdown/Emergency Work Orders
- Developing new process of Breakdown Elimination
- Creating SOPs for new processes and procedures
- Leading and participating in continuous improvement efforts
- Standing, walking, bending and stooping (at waist level), kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting (at waist level and at the neck)
- Tasting, smelling, seeing (including colors), speaking, and hearing, within a normal range to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results
- Working up to 12-hour shifts in production areas with a usually moderate noise level
- Occasionally climbing stairs, step ladders, or stools
- Using fine motor skills to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls
- Occasionally lifting, from 10 lbs
- Work will be performed in a manufacturing environment with usually moderate noise levels and will involve standing/walking on a concrete surface for the duration of your shift
- Regularly working indoors, near moving mechanical parts and will be occasionally exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions, as well as going outdoors (infrequently)
- Occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant
- Occasionally work in high, precarious places and may be exposed to extreme cold, the risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate

- Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE)
