This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory, CT. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees & teams to provide rapid responses to resolve engineering disturbance notices related. In addition, the candidate will perform engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.Your Assignment:Spends 75% of time in the Cleanroom learning production processes and troubleshooting way of workingAble to read mechanical, and electrical drawingsInvestigate and present mechanical/mechatronics tooling solutions for existing work center issuesTroubleshoot tooling & test stand equipmentThe ability to troubleshoot multi-disciplinary test equipment (Hardware/Software/Electrical/Servo) is a plusThe employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.Working with or around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicalsYour Profile:Candidate for Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering.Additional Skills & Work ExperienceMust display a solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assembliesWorking knowledge with mechanical diagrams and technical specification documents.Working knowledge of servo and mechanical control systemsWorking knowledge with complicated multi-disciplinary (Electro-Mechanical) assembly is a plusWorking knowledge and experience with integrated Hardware/Software testersWorking knowledge of Unix/Linux/Python/ or MATLAB software languages is a plusWorking knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, and SAP software is a plusWorking knowledge with vacuum systems is a plusPersonal skillsCapability to interface with multidisciplinary groups (including senior leadership), and be willing to take on responsibility and follow throughPossess strong ownership characteristics – demonstrated commitment to achieving results on timeHave strong written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate effectively to your team and to senior managementFocus on quality and continuous improvementsDemonstrated “team player” with a quality orientation and interpersonal skillsContext of the positionThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
