• Description: -Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products

Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products

• Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met
• Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility

• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling in PTC CREO, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), have good communications skills (both oral and written) and a background in Mechanical Engineering processes
• A willingness to travel up to 10% of time and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required
• Mechanical design experience that includes the interpretation of engineering design drawings
• Experience with engineering CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, etc.) and model based product definition
• Knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS (including AWS weld symbiology)
• Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis
• Knowledge/understanding of Electro-mechanical Systems and mechanical packaging of electronic equipment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Experience with application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5
• Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) system
• Knowledge of LM Space command media
• Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
• Active DoD Secret security clearance

Experience Level: 4 yr and up College
