We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Security Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex security systems across various facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ properties by leading technical teams and delivering exceptional service. • Lead the installation, configuration, and servicing of comprehensive security systems including CCTV, sensors, alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems.
• Supervise and mentor field service technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
• Develop detailed schematics and system design plans for security infrastructure projects.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to low voltage wiring, computer networking, telecommunication systems, and hardware components using hand tools and power tools.
• Conduct site surveys to assess security needs, evaluate existing infrastructure, and recommend optimal solutions for surveillance, intrusion detection (IDS), and remote access software integration.
• Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of security systems into building plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics, service records, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain system features, upgrades, and maintenance procedures; assist in alarm system sales when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations governing low voltage electrical work.

• Extensive knowledge of computer networking principles essential for configuring networked security devices.
• Mechanical knowledge related to installing sensors, CCTV cameras, lock systems, and power supplies.
• Strong understanding of system design principles for integrated security solutions involving surveillance cameras (CCTV), sensors, alarms, fire alarm systems, and access control.
• Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), surveillance equipment, schematics reading, and cabling techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation tasks in construction environments.
• Electrical experience necessary for wiring low voltage systems safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate remote access software for remote diagnostics or system monitoring purposes.
• Knowledge of telecommunication protocols relevant to alarm communication pathways.
• Locksmithing skills beneficial for integrating physical lock hardware with electronic access control systems.
• Required Experience:
• Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on security system troubleshooting and repair.
