• The VISTA will increase the capacity of the DCPS team through new research, partnership development, identification of best practices, and creation of new tools
• Member Duties : The VISTA will increase the capacity of DCPS School and Community Partnerships through new research, identification of best practices, and creation of new tools
• Develop materials and training tools for the use of the programs' database
• Create systems for quarterly data collection and support for users
• Develop communication strategies using various mediums, including social media campaigns
• Create communication materials, such as flyers, one pagers, and infographics
• Improve capacity to gather data, assess program quality and report information about school partnerships
• Increase awareness of school partnership programs among students, families, and broader school communities

Increase financial, human, and in-kind resources as well as strengthened infrastructure to meet student needs

• The VISTA will work for one year with GW and DCPS staff and community members and will be able to build education and community-school-related knowledge and experience, as well partnership development, project management, and communication skills
• The VISTA will have the opportunity to work on a collaborative team, dedicated to serving school communities furthest from opportunity
• We are seeking candidates who excel in relationship-building, are results-oriented, have strong communication skills and experience working with data

This is a full-time (40hrs a week) 12-month service term with the GWServes Companyps VISTA Program
