• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery

Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable

• 2 to 6+ years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance defense and/or personal injury (REQUIRED)
• Juris Doctor degree (REQUIRED)
• Admission to the New York Bar (REQUIRED)
• Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and depositions
• Strong writing skills for professional documentation
• Capacity to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts
• Effective organization and multi-tasking abilities
