- A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Managing the full sales cycle to include understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, negotiating sales, and closing deals
- Researching prospective district partners and making outbound calls to generate interest in Clever’s product suite (IDM, MFA, Training Services and Premium Support Services)
- Working collaboratively with the District Partnership team to create compelling outbound sales campaigns and track accordingly in CRM
- Maintaining our district partner prospect database, capturing call notes
- Follow-up with all inbound leads including conferences and events to qualify the type of district opportunity and manage the life-cycle from lead to qualified opportunity
- Using resources such as district websites, Starbridge and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to keep Salesforce account contact details up-to-date
- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in a closing role
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Impeccable pipeline accuracy, data hygiene and forecasting capabilities
- Ability to successfully establish rapport with contacts
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member partnering with Clever Cross-functional stakeholders including district partnerships, marketing and sales engineers
- Ability to break down complex concepts into simple explanations
- Desire and strong willingness to make outbound cold calls
- Ability to learn quickly
- Growth mindset, flexibility and strong organizational skills
- Passion for EdTech
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com and outreach software (Gong Engage) are a plus
- Willingness to travel in territory, to conferences and company functions (at peak times, 30-50%)
- Location : Must reside in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or New York

- SALARY TRANSPARENCY
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $94,000 - $110,000 . For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $103,000 - $121,000 . This position also offers a target, variable, or annual bonus incentive. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
