  • Within the confines of a Company Store, the Banking Operations Specialist is entrusted with the task of providing customers with exceptional service by ensuring that their banking transactions are handled with precision and efficiency
  • Additionally, they are responsible for educating customers about Company's product offerings and directing them to specialized solutions through referrals to appropriate colleagues
  • Continuously executing operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Consistently delivering on Company's brand promise to customers through the execution of suitable behaviors that enhance the customer experience within the physical retail space
  • Conducting customer transactions effectively, encompassing activities like processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box services
  • Performs cash transactions with a keen eye for detail, including tasks such as check cashing, currency validation, cash drawer reconciliation, and night deposit processing
  • Manages customer concerns and questions using standard practices and involves upper management when appropriate
  • Exhibits leadership in the lobby by directing customer flow, giving a friendly welcome to patrons, and offering relevant guidance
  • Acknowledges the specific timing and modalities preferred by customers for banking activities, providing education on self-service and digital avenues customized to their preferences
  • Engages in needs-based conversations to champion customer interests, present financial and digital choices, and facilitate referrals to appropriate partners
  • Capable of making wise decisions and offering prompt issue resolution, escalating tougher challenges to appropriate management levels
  • Ensures that operational activities are conducted in compliance with company regulations and guidelines such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to reduce risks and safeguard customers
  • Confirms the legitimacy of customers through the execution of customer authentication policies and procedures
  • Verifies and reconciles cash holdings in cash drawers, ATMs, and TCDs/TCRs accordingly
  • Observes the proper protocols and operating guidelines for managing safe deposit boxes

The individual is accountable for overseeing cash drawers and vaults, including monitoring cash limits and securing cash to maintain its safety

  • Both a high school diploma and a GED serve as formal recognitions of completing the necessary educational requirements at the secondary level
  • Although it is ideal to have six months of experience in a related field, applicants can demonstrate an equivalent level of competency through volunteering, education, or military history
  • Willingness to work as needed during operational hours, which may involve weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Preference is given to candidates with proven customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Competence in functioning efficiently amid a fast-paced and fluctuating backdrop
