Catawiki seeks a Senior Business Developer to drive growth of the Art category in Italy, acquiring high-quality sellers and shaping market strategy. This fully remote role offers impactful work, learning opportunities, and unique perks like Catavouchers and extra leave.

  • Identify and prioritise high-potential galleries, dealers, and artists across Italy to build a strong seller pipeline
  • Build and manage an outbound pipeline through cold outreach, email campaigns, and in-person meetings
  • Convert inbound and outbound opportunities into long-term, high-quality seller partnerships
  • Use data and performance insights to prioritise prospects and improve conversion rates
  • Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including auctions and incentive models

Your Mission Drive the growth of Catawiki’s Art category in Italy by acquiring and developing high-quality sellers.

You take full ownership of building and scaling the Italian seller base, directly impacting GMV and market expansion. Act as the commercial lead for the Italian Art market, shaping strategy, building partnerships, and delivering measurable business outcomes through strong deal execution and market insight.

What You’ll Do Identify and prioritise high-potential galleries, dealers, and artists across Italy to build a strong seller pipeline Build and manage an outbound pipeline through cold outreach, email campaigns, and in-person meetings Convert inbound and outbound opportunities into long-term, high-quality seller partnerships Use data and performance insights to prioritise prospects and improve conversion rates Own forecasting and revenue reporting for the Italian Art market Collaborate with Art Experts to optimise lot strategy, positioning, and seller performance Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including auctions and incentive models What You’ll Bring Proven experience acquiring new strategic accounts and building pipelines from scratch At least 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development with ownership of revenue targets and KPIs Native Italian and fluent English, plus proficiency in at least one additional European language Experience in digital marketplaces or fast-scaling environments Demonstrated ability to grow GMV or revenue and manage structured onboarding processes Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into commercial actions Confidence in negotiating and closing complex deals with senior stakeholders How We Work Operate in a performance-driven environment with clear expectations and fast decision-making Collaborate closely with Art Experts and management to shape category strategy Work within a team of commercial professionals across Europe, sharing best practices and insights Engage directly with the market through events, fairs, and in-person meetings across Italy Where You’ll Be This is a 100% remote role based in Italy.
