Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Continuous Delivery)
Affirm is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for the Continuous Delivery team within Developer Productivity to build and improve platforms that enable engineering teams to release independently with strong automation and safety. Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics.
- Proactively identify project, process, technology or business issues, advocate for them, and lead in solving them.
- Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.

The broader org owns much of the path between a developer’s laptop and production, including developer environments, test automation, code standards, CI/CD, and release engineering, all in service of helping engineers ship code quickly, safely, and with confidence.
