• The Construction Accountant will manage financial transactions and reporting for construction projects, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable processing
• This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in handling vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations while supporting overall project accounting
• Heavy AP Processing:
• Process and verify high-volume vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and construction contracts
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts (three-way match)
• Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) accurately and on schedule
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Construction Accounting Duties:
• Track project costs and allocate expenses to appropriate jobs and cost codes
• Assist with monthly closings, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Support intercompany transactions and reporting for construction projects

Prepare financial reports for project managers and senior leadership

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry
• Proven experience with high-volume AP processing
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and vendor management

Team-oriented with a sense of ownership for assigned tasks

• Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $68,000.00 per year
