The Risk team plays a critical role in ensuring a healthy financial eco-system for businesses around the world. The Credit Operations team directly impacts the company’s bottom line and growth capabilities by supporting new and existing businesses. The Credit Operations team is responsible for conducting credit risk assessments, underwriting small and mid-size users, and proposing mitigation strategies that enable Company to take smart risks for our users. The team is globally distributed and regularly coordinates with stakeholders across all regions.

• What you’ll do

As the Manager of Credit Operations, you will lead a team of high-performing credit analysts and set an inspirational vision for the broader Credit organization. You will be responsible for driving the execution of short and long-term initiatives to futureproof the organization, ensuring it is well-equipped to scale and adapt to Company's highly complex and evolving credit landscape.

• Inspire, motivate, and develop a high performing credit operations team while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Establish clear goals, provide coaching and feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
• Set a strategic vision for the team and build the path to execute it in both the short and long-term.
• Proactively evolve the organization’s strategy to scale operations and address day-to-day challenges.
• Collaborate with and influence risk leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify the highest ROI investments for user experience, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain oversight of operational vendor performance related to credit workstreams to ensure compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis to identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and mitigate risk within processes and performance.
• Define and manage core metrics, SLAs, and performance of the organization.
• Identify gaps in current systems, processes, and strategies, and deliver enhancements and process improvements to mitigate existing and emerging risks.
• Ensure risk management efforts do not compromise the user experience.

• 5+ years of experience managing credit risk and/or underwriting teams, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Experience and knowledge of commercial credit underwriting, financial risk modeling, or cash flow forecasting.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams and working groups.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• Passion for delivering a user-centric experience while effectively managing risk.
• Expertise in credit operations and risk management, including data analysis, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and comfort with evaluating financial statements and business models across a range of industries
• Experience analyzing data and creating dashboards using SQL
• Experience working closely with engineering teams to develop and enhance investigative tools and treatments

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification is a plus
