Обязанности

  • The Director of Finance and Operations will manage Groundswell’s organizational budget and finances

As an integral part of the leadership team, they will work closely with and cross functionally with Groundswell’s staff and Board Finance Committee to support the organization's finance and operation functions: payables receivables, space management, banking, payroll, reporting, vendor consulting relationships, information technology, and oversee general human resources

  • Lead the organization’s finance and operations efforts, while leading financial strategic planning and audits
  • Supervise office manager and human resources consultant
  • Manage operational concerns for stakeholders and manage external vendor relations
  • Oversee bank processes: employee payroll, depositing checks, updating banking information, recording deposits into applicable software, all financial activity, new vendors, subcontract payments, banking self-assessments, and banking verifications

Oversee HR related matters, including but not limited to, entering/terminating employees in system, employee offers/termination letters, benefits management for current & new employees (open enrollment, retirement, etc.), background checks, policies, records, and other related HR issues

  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of credit card statements, bank statements, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Conduct audits based on applicable frequency for all cost reconciliations: 401K, flexible spending accounts, worker’s comp, umbrella insurance, 5500, COI requests, 1099s, 1096, annual fiscal spending, salaries & fringe
  • Collaborate with all staff on annual budgeting and expense tracking in adherence to fiscal year
  • Serve as IT operations liaison with office manager for ongoing support and troubleshooting (i.e., password reset, close/open email accounts, laptop set up)
  • Refer appropriate issues to outsourced IT company
  • Oversee annual reporting for funding, government reimbursements, government funding
  • Act as finance and operations liaison for board meetings/audit committee, cross-department meetings, and legal matters
  • Manage investment accounts in collaboration with board finance committee
  • Ensure compliance via finance and operational manual updates
  • Other special projects/assignments as needed

  • 7+ years’ experience in managing non-profit finance and operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration degree, finance, or any related equivalent
  • Expertise in accrual accounting and general bookkeeping
  • Effective communication (written & oral), organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail required
  • Capacity to work independently to meet deadlines and work cross-functionally with Groundswell staff and Board of Directors
  • The employee is required to actively listen and communicate clearly
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and far

Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse, and lift files and reports is required
