• The Community You will Join:

The Guest & Host team based out of India, operates to ensure high quality supply and merchandising differentiates our brand, by providing tools to be used by 1000+ operations agents for supply vetting and quality moderation. As Airbnb expands beyond the core, it is looking to onboard supply outside of the core stays business which requires enhancing our tools. The operational tasks we face are diverse and rapidly evolving. The current manual processes and lack of optimum tooling capabilities hinder the ability of operation agents to work more efficiently, maintain business continuity, and achieve higher scale.

We are working on a system that enables us to swiftly create new operational processes and adapt existing ones as we gain insights. We are improving both the quality of decisions and scaling operations by enhancing human processes and building task-specific tools, leveraging AI throughout the workflow, and simplifying workflow configurations and processes.

As a Software Engineer on the Guest & Host team, your work will directly contribute to one of the most potent elements of Airbnb’s commitment to operate as a 21st-century company by enabling us to strengthen, partner with, and earn the trust of the communities we serve. The software systems you build will help cities implement and manage home-sharing regulations at scale around the world, and make it easier for our hosts to know about and comply with those regulations. You will work with a team of talented, passionate, mission-driven developers and a diverse set of partners and stakeholders across product, design, data science, policy, operations, and legal disciplines.

• A Typical Day:
• Design, develop, and refine supply onboarding and vetting features for Airbnb on the web, ensuring high-quality and performant user experiences
• Work closely with engineers from product teams across Airbnb, understanding their productivity and feature pain points and building solutions to resolve them scalably and flexibly.
• Drive investments into new technical capabilities that push the envelope and unlock new product innovation
• Identify Design and Engineer product development pain point and constantly improve the development efficiency.
• Contribute to the team’s technical strategy alongside leads to evolve technology choices that scale with Product and Design ambitions.
• Level up technical leadership within the team through effective partnership with peer ICs and mentoring
• Your expertise:
• 3 to 5 years of industry experience
• Expertise using Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g. React)
• Track record of leading projects end-to-end that involve strong cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design partners.

You possess passion for UI and Motion animation development, with attention to detail mindset [Bonus] Experience working with Figma and other design tools

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
