• As a Mechanical Technician team member, you will support facility initiatives and daily tasks focused on people, safety, quality, velocity and cost

As a team member, you will be responsible for safely assembling heavy paving products according to model pictures and build instructions utilizing mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time

• You will work with team members on identifying, electronically documenting and communicating opportunities for improvement, communicating discrepancies, and recommending solutions
• Work with limited supervision
• May be required to complete a post application assessment as part of the candidacy process
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently
• Climb on equipment, machines, ladders and various step stools
• Stand for a minimum of 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks
• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Exposure magnets that may impact medical devices
• Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees
• Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting, and forward head and rotation of neck.?

Work in tight spaces

• 2 years' experience in a mechanic or assembly field, heavy equipment assembly, or technical school with a focus in a mechanical or manufacturing field
• Relevant experiences such as mechanical aptitude in a personal or professional setting must be described in application
• Heavy assembly, manufacturing or Caterpillar manufacturing experience
• Intermediate or greater proficiency using electronic and digital devices and mediums
• Experience using mechanical tools including torque tools and operation of crane equipment
• Understanding of metric units, hydraulics and electrical components
• Good communication skills

• Work at multiple heights
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating Use of fine motor skills
• Includes ability to pull manual torque tools to torque requirements (at least 250 Newton meters or 185-foot pounds)
• Required Personal Protective Equipment : hearing protection, safety glasses, hand protection, and steel toed/metatarsal foot gear

• Pay Rate And Schedule

The position includes a wage of $25.73 /hour and a comprehensive day-one benefit program! $24.50 - $31.50
