• Script to design, build, and maintain responsive web applications and server-side APIs that power Deel's global payroll and HR platform
• The role involves full ownership of features across client, server, service, and database layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment
• Be a part of a truly cross-functional team including Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, Product, Design, and QA
• Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment and provide input across the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate to develop robust new features, APIs, continuously improve products, and identify and fix bugs
• Ensure customers receive a high-quality, white-glove experience with Deel products
• Fully own development of features across client, server, service, and database layers
• Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using Type
• Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and interactions with Postgres
• Build reusable and modular components on both front and back ends to promote reusability, maintainability, and scalability
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Stay updated with emerging web development trends, frameworks, and best practices and recommend process improvements
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to team members and stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and tools

• Script, Java
• Script, React, and Express; familiarity with Nest
• Design and implement server-side APIs, data models, and business logic primarily using the Express framework
• Create client-side function-based React components, hooks, stories, and tests to interact with server-side work
• At least 4 years of full-stack experience with a focus on Type
• Script development and proven experience designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications using the listed technologies
• Proficiency with Type
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote-first culture while also taking ownership and working independently
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and explaining complex ideas clearly
• Customer-focused mindset with a business-oriented approach to delivering high-value outcomes and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Script, React, Express, Postgres, API design, debugging, testing practices, and building scalable reusable components

Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing methodologies (Jest, Mocha, Chai, Storybook, React Testing Library, Cypress)
