• The IT Operations Manager will serve as the highest level of escalation for all infrastructure-related issues while also providing strategic direction for modernization initiatives
• This role demands a balance of technical depth and leadership capability, as you’ll oversee infrastructure operations, mentor a capable technical team, and guide the ongoing evolution of the client’s Azure-centric environment
• Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations across a 100% Azure-based environment, with one on-premises data center
• Act as the final point of technical escalation for complex infrastructure, networking, and Azure-related issues
• Oversee and optimize a hybrid mix of IaaS and PaaS services in Azure
• Drive modernization efforts, including:
• Fleet server upgrades and infrastructure refresh projects
• Transition to SD-WAN connectivity and wireless upgrades
• Cybersecurity program development (in partnership with consultants)
• Evaluate the current environment, identify pain points, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and alignment with business goals

Lead, mentor, and develop the IT operations team to ensure strong technical execution and service excellence

• Proven experience in hands-on IT operations management, with a strong technical foundation
• Background in network modernization, including SD-WAN and wireless technologies
• Strong understanding of infrastructure modernization principles and cloud transformation
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and serve as a trusted escalation point
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments and driving change
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in cybersecurity program development or working alongside security consultants
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, monitoring, and DevOps principles

Proven success in identifying and implementing process improvements and cost optimizations in IT operations

Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, and governance)

• Compensation: $150,000 to $185,000 annually
