- Investigate cleaning methodologies and their impact on different material surfaces, i.e. efficacy, positive and negative changes at the part surface
- Understand particle & molecular contaminants transport mechanism in product and test equipment
- Characterize type and amount of contamination by collecting contamination samples and performing relevant tests
- Investigate material issues / challenges using appropriate material diagnostic tools like SEM, AFM, WLI, spectroscopy, etc
- Clearly communicate progress and status of ongoing technical activities to senior management
- Write cleanliness and contamination control procedures and train technicians to efficiently implement the procedure in manufacturing
- Give presentation to the department at the end of the internship as well as poster to intern community
- Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability
- Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements
- Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision

- Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift
