In this role, you will help create engaging, active learning experiences across K–12 and higher education audiences. You will collaborate with a team that believes learning should be joyful, hands-on, and grounded in cognitive science.... moving beyond worksheets and rote memorization. Обязанности

  • Apply evidence-based principles from the science of learning, cognitive psychology, and learning design to create accessible, effective instructional materials.
  • Build digital and non-digital active learning environments, including hands-on activities, simulations, workshops, professional development training material, and collaborative learning tools.
  • Design content aligned with project-based learning (PBL) methodologies, including challenges, checkpoints, rubrics, and reflection components.
  • Develop course materials using tools like Moodle, Canvas LMS, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and interactive learning platforms.
  • Draft storyboards, lesson scripts, assessments, activities, and learner-facing resources with a clear focus on applied learning.
  • Apply the universal design model to develop high-quality assessment items in multiple subject areas (science, allied health, career education, and similar).
  • Work comfortably with AI‑generated ideas, drafts, and assets, created by our Learning Solutions Architect, to shape them into clear, engaging, learning-science‑driven content.
  • Collaborate with our learning solutions architect to iterate on feedback, refine content, and ensure all materials meet quality and accessibility standards.
  • Conduct light research to ensure content is pedagogically sound, accurate, and learner-centered.
  • Respond to client feedback with professionalism and clarity, revising content as needed to ensure their vision is accurately translated while staying aligned with our organization’s learning‑science principles, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Launch tasks at kickoff, maintain dashboards, and keep statuses current.
  • Send automated nudges, organize shared folders, and maintain version control.
  • Flag risks early; propose options; escalate promptly when decisions are needed.

  • Required
  • 3 or more years working in the education sector (teacher, tutor, coach, or similar)
  • Experience building learning materials for K–12, higher education, or informal education environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, scaffolded learning activities in digital or physical formats.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools such as: Canvas LMS, Articulate Rise or Storyline, Google Workspace & Microsoft 365, AI tools for productivity and instructional enhancement
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into learner-friendly language.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills,
  • Excellent communication skills in a virtual, team‑oriented environment
  • Preferred
  • Experience working with a team of SMEs, ID’s, and reviewers on content or curriculum work.
  • Experience with PBL design models (e.g., Gold Standard PBL practices).
  • Exposure to accessibility and UDL (Universal Design for Learning) principles.
  • Background designing for diverse learners, including multilingual learners or learners with varied support needs.
  • Interest in career readiness, soft skills, or real-world application learning.
  • Familiarity with K–12 or higher‑ed standards and instructional materials (e.g., scope/sequence, lesson/assessment structures).

  • Foundational understanding of the science of learning (e.g., retrieval practice, cognitive load, spaced learning, formative assessment).

  • Schedule & Work Environment
  • This is a contract, project-dependent role. Hours may vary depending on project scope and deadlines.
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling; work can be completed asynchronously unless otherwise specified.
  • Must be able to meet agreed-upon deadlines and attend occasional virtual check-ins or working sessions.
