Location Portlethen, Aberdeenshire, UK Duration Permanent Work schedule Mon-Fri: 7am-5pm Job Summary The Logistics & Equipment Readiness Operator is responsible for managing logistical activities related to equipment preparation, inspection, dispatch, return receipt, and maintenance
- This role involves both office-based and yard-based tasks, ensuring the smooth flow of equipment to and from the workshop, offshore locations, and third-party vendors
- The role requires a hands-on approach, including forklift driving, loading/unloading equipment, maintaining asset records, and ensuring compliance with Company’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Responsibilities and Duties Load and unload trucks and shipping containers, ensuring equipment is securely fastened
- Operate a forklift to move equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage stock control of customer property and inventory using basic computer tools (e.g., Excel) and SAP (training will be provided)
- Perform basic triage on returned equipment and issue reports to applicable departments
- Organize day-to-day priorities and move equipment in appropriate queues based on schedules
- Manage goods in/out and ensure traceability of all equipment
- Assist with asset cycle counting and maintain accurate asset registers
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping in compliance with Company standards
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to enhance efficiency
Attend operational calls as required to review upcoming operations
