- In this role, you will be responsible for setting the mobile engineering strategy, driving execution excellence, and ensuring high-quality, reliable mobile experiences for millions of customers especially during peak tax season
You will lead and scale an organization of engineering managers and mobile teams across iOS and Android, partner closely with Product, Design, Platform, and Data teams, and foster a culture of strong ownership, operational rigor, and customer obsession
- This role requires a leader who can align mobile innovation with business outcomes while operating effectively in high-scale, mission-critical environments
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a group of Mobile Engineering Managers and multiple iOS and Android engineering teams, building a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Define and drive the long-term mobile engineering vision and roadmap for TurboTax, aligned with business priorities and customer outcomes
- Partner closely with Product Management, Design, Data, Platform, and Program Management to deliver customer-driven mobile experiences
- Drive execution excellence and operational rigor, ensuring mobile experiences meet high standards for availability, performance, security, and quality
- Own mobile operational health, including incident response, root cause analysis, and prevention, and act as an escalation point when needed
- Influence and guide architecture and technical decisions to ensure consistency, scalability, and parity across iOS and Android platforms
- Manage complex cross-team dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines across the Consumer Platform
- Attract, develop, and retain top mobile engineering talent; coach managers and senior engineers; build a strong leadership bench
