• As a Mechanical Construction Estimator, your responsibilities will include
• Utilizing your knowledge and experience in HVAC and pipe fitting to develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate estimates for our mechanical construction projects
• Applying your knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area to assess project feasibility and cost-effectiveness
• Leveraging your conceptual estimating experience to develop innovative strategies for project execution and cost-saving
• Coordinating with the project team to transition from a bid to a proposal, ensuring all project specifications, requirements, and timelines are accurately captured
• Using Quote Soft estimating software to prepare cost estimates, and analyzing data to determine cost benefits and financial impact
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and potential challenges

Reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimation

• This role requires a candidate with a robust understanding of the Baltimore and Washington DC area, and a proven track record in the contracting industry

• The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Construction Estimator position should have the following qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering office and field experience in the contracting industry
• Trade school education in a relevant field
• A valid Journeyman License
• Extensive knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area
• Proven conceptual estimating experience
• Experience in estimating mechanical projects up to $10 million
• Proficiency in transitioning from bid to proposal
• Experience with Quote Soft estimating software
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation and pipe fitting
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
