- This role exists to deliver an exceptional first impression and seamless experience for new and existing members
- You are the first point of contact for every new trial student
- You will manage check-ins, onboarding, equipment distribution, cleanliness, safety support, and core administrative duties that keep the academy operating smoothly
- This requires strong communication, responsibility, attention to detail, and consistency
- Stay until 7:00–8:00 p.m. depending on class flow
- 12–18 hours per week
- Welcome trial students and collect full contact information
- Ensure digital waivers are completed
- Provide loaner gear (gi jacket, pants, belt)
- Capture new student photos for roster
- Provide pricing + promotional information before they leave
- Ensure each trial student has a brief membership conversation with staff
- Track trial attendance, conversions, and follow-up needs
- Laundry & Gear Management
- Wash and dry loaner gis daily
- Organize clean gear and ensure consistent inventory
- Manage lost-and-found items
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all loaner equipment
- Facility Cleanliness & Presentation
- Light but consistent cleaning to maintain a professional first impression:
- Wipe mats as needed
- Spot vacuuming
- Light dusting and window cleaning
Keeping desk, lobby, cubbies, and viewing areas tidy (No full bathroom cleaning required.)
- Safety & Minor First Aid Support
- Provide Band-Aids, tape, and cleanup for minor training cuts
- Safely clean small blood spots from mats
- Notify coaches of incidents or injuries
- Belt & Stripe Promotion Coordination
- Track upcoming promotions and provide advance notice
- Help maintain belt inventory
- Assist with communicating promotion dates to families
- Ensure preparation for ceremony nights
- Membership, Sales & Admin Support
- Support retail sales (gear, apparel, accessories)
- Update member records and ensure complete data collection
- Assist with tasks assigned by ownership (admin, sales, marketing)
- Take class photos for social media content
- Communication & Technology
- Answer phone calls, texts, and DMs
- Maintain accurate digital records
- Use simple apps and software tools (training provided)
- Communicate professionally with parents, adults, and teens

Perform other reasonable tasks or projects assigned by ownership to support daily operations, member experience, and academy organization
