- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator
- Good understanding of MS SQL Server architecture, storage structures, and indexing
- Experience with backup and restore using native SQL Server backups including full, differential, and log
- Knowledge of SQL Agent jobs, alerts, and basic performance tuning using dynamic management views
- Understanding of AlwaysOn basics including read-only routing and health monitoring
- Working knowledge of T-SQL and basic scripting
- Basic Windows Server administration skills
- Basic knowledge of at least one other relational database management system such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Strong analytical skills and communication skills
- English proficiency at the B2 Upper-Intermediate level
- Exposure to AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Failover Cluster Instances
- Experience with patching, cumulative updates, and upgrade activities
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, Dynatrace, and Redgate
- Experience with cloud database services including Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance, AWS RDS for SQL Server, and Google Cloud Platform
- Scripting with PowerShell for automation
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or DP-series
