• Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights
• Perform orthopedic assistant responsibilities; assist the surgeon and the circulating RN
• Works under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and the circulating RN
• Participates as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources for all internal and external customers
• Provides orthopedic care under supervision for assigned patients in inpatient units and in the Emergency Department according to established standards and practices
• Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
• Specialized vocational training
• Related certification
• 6 - 12 months experience in a related position
• 1 - 2 years experience in a related position
• Certified Orthopedic Technician within 6 months of becoming eligible
• American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
