• Youll work closely with customers, partners, product, engineering, support and success, helping us maintain a secure, stable, performant, and functional Postgres foundation
• This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions
• You should understand how PostgreSQL works under the hood - from the parser and planner to WAL mechanics and MVCC implementation
• Strong troubleshooting skills for managed PostgreSQL deployments are crucial, including diagnosing issues with custom extensions, analyzing core dumps, and resolving performance problems
• You should be comfortable building testing and owning idempotent deployment to many thousands of running postgres instances
• You'll work with complex extension ecosystems and need to understand extension compatibility, upgrade paths, and potential conflicts

• We need a senior PostgreSQL engineer who brings deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals and hands-on experience building extensions in C and Rust
• Experience with PostgreSQL's background worker framework, shared memory management, and hook system is important for this role

• Have 5+ years of experience postgres security, encryption, RLS and permissions
• Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences
• Have experience in async or globally distributed teams
• Are energized by solving real-world problems for developers
• Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly
• 15+ languages spoken
• Someone cross-functional from product, growth, or engineering (depending on the role)
