Join BILL’s Developer Experience (DevX) team and help shape the tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that empower our engineering organization to deliver high-quality products at scale. As a Software Engineer II (P2) , you’ll help build and enhance internal platforms, collaborate with talented peers, and drive improvements that directly impact developer productivity and satisfaction. This is an opportunity to deepen your technical skills while making a tangible difference in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Nice to have: Experience building or maintaining developer experience tooling—such as internal platforms, libraries, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation—that removes friction for engineers and measurably improves developer productivity and code quality.

San Jose pay range $126,500 — $151,800 USD The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
