- The PA will work collaboratively with vascular surgeons and clinical staff to provide high-quality care for patients with arterial and venous disease across outpatient and procedural settings
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and vascular assessments
- Evaluate and manage patients with vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease (PAD), venous insufficiency, DVT, carotid artery disease, aneurysms, and chronic wounds
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies (vascular ultrasound, ABI/PVR studies, CTA/MRA, labs)
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care for vascular procedures
- Conduct hospital rounds (if applicable) and manage inpatient consults
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with vascular surgeons
- Prescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
- Provide patient education regarding disease processes, procedures, and post-treatment care
- Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR
- Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, wound care, and ancillary services
