• Your contributions will play a critical role in developing and refining components across our search stack, such as query translation, search result ranking, and pattern matching APIs
• Develop and maintain scalable search components using Scala 2 and the Play Framework
• Enhance and manage Pattern Matching APIs using Python
• Optimize query translation modules (Query Cooker) with Java
• Extend and improve Elasticsearch plugins for reliability and performance
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage and enhance infrastructure on AWS (including EC2) to ensure scalable and highly available search services

Troubleshoot and refine search performance across distributed systems

• Programming experience with Scala 2, Java, and Python for 3 years
• Knowledge of the Play Framework
• Proficiency in ElasticSearch plugin development and maintenance
• Background in search-related algorithms, indexing, and query processing
• Competency in DevOps practices and working with AWS services like EC2
• Flexibility to collaborate efficiently within a fast-paced, agile environment
• English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) or semantic search
• Showcase of information retrieval or search relevance tuning expertise
• Capability to work with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
