• The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs
• This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in various settings, including home and community environments
• The DSP will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
• Provide support for individuals with autism, dementia, and other developmental disabilities
• Monitor patient health and behavior, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
• Engage clients in recreational activities to promote socialization and skill development
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Assist with heavy lifting as needed for client mobility or transfers
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and care provided

Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other professionals to develop personalized care plans

• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist clients with mobility needs
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families
• A compassionate attitude towards working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on the job location
