• 8hr-1st Shift 7a-3p Turners Falls (United States of America) The Shipping Clerk will take ownership of all aspects of shipping and receiving function for a HDPE extruded plastics products factory
• This includes safety, quality, receiving, shipping, inventory, keeping records and provide reports
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies
• Inspect in-coming materials and report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping
• Enter shipping and receiving data into JD Edwards inventory system to create Bill of Ladings
• Assemble orders and prepare material for shipment
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
• Determine method, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment
• Coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received
• Interact with freight carriers to ensure on time deliveries to customers
• May be responsible for the cleanliness of trucks and work area
• Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements
• Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials
• Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules
• Keep production lines supplied with raw materials
• Inventory product as needed
• And label, sort, wrap and tie product
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Tap rail cars and coordinate with railroad on their movements
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs
