• The Lab Technician is responsible for testing products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure all customer requirements and safety standards are met
• This role uses multiple testing methodologies, inspection tools, and documentation systems to verify product quality and compliance
• Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical properties, including tensile strength, hardness, and discontinuities
• Use tensile machines, hardness testers, mounting and polishing equipment, and magnetic particle inspection tools
• Program, set up, and safely operate testing equipment according to requirements
• Interpret test results against industry standards and customer specifications
• Verify and validate material chemistry certifications per specified standards
• Log, track, and maintain test results using computer systems and proprietary software
• Communicate non-conforming results with appropriate departments

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to perform the following during an entire 8–10 hour shift: Speaking and hearing, Standing and walking, Bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting, Grasping, pinching, pushing, and pulling, Repetitive movement, Clear close vision (within 20 inches), Ability to distinguish colors
