- What you will be working on
Resource Planning Division (RPD) is part of SSG’s Planning Group (PG) which provides guidance on the strategic direction of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). Specifically, RPD is responsible for the effective planning of resources and oversees budget management to achieve agency’s goals:
- Formulate corporate-level funding policies and funding parameters;
- Evaluate budget requests for funding of programme partners;
- Plan, manage, and allocate SSG’s budget; and
- Plan and allocate manpower establishments
This role reports to an Assistant Director and is part of a team responsible for ensuring funded programmes are aligned with SSG’s funding policies and support SkillsFuture initiatives and SSG’s overall objectives:
- Develop and review key funding policies to support SkillsFuture initiatives and SSG’s overall objectives;
- Evaluate budget requests for funding of programme partners from Divisions and make recommendations for Internal Approving Authority’s approval;
- Serve as secretariat for the Budget and Resource Allocation Committee (BRAC) and Grants Committee (GC) meetings;
- Handle and prepare responses to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders on SSG’s funding policies; and
- Maintain knowledge management repository of project budget approvals.
