• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Fintech team, you will design, build, and deploy backend systems that power Hopper's disruption and insurance fintech products
• The role focuses on scalable, maintainable system architecture, hands-on coding, mentoring teammates, and delivering complex multi-month projects to production on Google Cloud Platform
• Plan, investigate, and scope upcoming projects you own
• Mentor other team members through pair programming and asynchronous collaboration
• Write, review, and improve code across the stack with an emphasis on backend systems
• Learn and apply new technical concepts, services, or GCP features that provide value to the team
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and plan upcoming sprints, within a low-meeting culture
• Lead delivery of complex, multi-month projects from inception through production deployment
• Improve system quality and reliability by applying excellent software engineering practices
