• The Senior Design Systems Designer will lead the evolution and adoption of the Onyx Design System, focusing on component design, documentation, and scalability within Figma
• This senior individual contributor role partners with designers, engineers, accessibility, content, localization, and brand teams to ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and developer-friendly implementation across enterprise-scale products
• Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the Onyx Design System in Figma, focusing on high-quality components, patterns, tokens, and documentation
• Ensure visual consistency, clarity, and craftsmanship across system components by applying foundational principles in layout, color, typography, and hierarchy
• Lead visual standards discussions across the UX organization and advocate for elevated visual quality and consistency across products and platforms
• Conduct audits of in-product visual design, identify visual drift or inconsistencies, and propose system-based solutions
• Partner closely with engineers to ensure components are implemented with visual precision, accessibility, and scalability in mind
• Drive adoption of the design system by evangelizing best practices across product design, engineering, and brand teams
• Mentor other product and system designers through critiques, onboarding, and training
• Partner with accessibility, content, localization, and brand teams to ensure inclusive and scalable system foundations
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve system tooling, documentation, and developer experience

Advocate for the strategic value of design systems through presentations, critiques, and informal coaching

• 5+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years contributing to design systems
• A strong portfolio demonstrating contributions to a shared design system, documentation, and collaboration with engineering
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing platform- or pattern-level design outcomes
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility principles as they apply to system components
• Clear and effective communication skills to articulate rationale, gather alignment, and advocate for system goals
• Experience with complex or enterprise-scale products is highly valued
• Ops (improving workflows, tooling, documentation practices, or governance)

• Base salary range (for certain U.S. states listed) is $139,475 to $160,300
• May be eligible for additional compensation such as a bonus
