The Production Scheduler plans, schedules and coordinates all activities required to move an order through the manufacturing process − Review in-coming orders for accuracy and completeness − Check that material and shop orders are created or on order for components − Monitor emails for request to improve or change quantities or ship dates − Monitor progress of all open sales orders, focusing on adherence to schedule and on-time delivery − Adjust production schedules as needed in response to manufacturing and supply chain issues, notifying supervisor of any changes − Perform other job duties as assigned, based on workload and business need − Review Production Planning Quotes for lead times which include standard and Expedited deliveries − Work closely with Sales notifying them if orders are going to be delayed − Working with Engineering if issues due to structure or routers
− High school diploma or GED − This can be an entry level position At least one (1) year experience as planning, expediting or production control in a similar high mix/low volume production environment − Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office − Basic math skills − Intermediate reading skills − Effective verbal and written communication skills − Ability to understand and interpret manufacturing procedures − Ability to perform the essential functions of each subordinate position in department − Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer − Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required − Frequently required to stand and/or walk, up to 2 hours per day, and make frequent trips from the office area to the manufacturing area − Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes
