• As a Producer for POTUS you will be an integral part of our 12-hour broadcast day as well as weekend programming
• Producers are the main support for Executive Producers and hosts before, during and after live shows
• This role may be expected to run the newsroom in an organized and up-to-date way, supplying shows with news clips, guest ideas and production in a timely manner
• With the 2024 Presidential election here, listeners coast-to-coast will turn to us for fair truthful commentary this is on you as well as the whole team
• Works with Talent, Executive Producers and Talk Directors on daily preparation for varies shows live and taped, as well as manage fast-paced newsroom
• Research story ideas and book guests for specific shows
• Implements daily tasks assigned from the Executive Producer meeting broadcast deadlines
• Assist with special broadcast events
• Edit weekend/late evening shows for air working with third-party hosts/producers
• Fill-in as show producer when short-staffed or producer is out

Responsible for any special programing after 6pm ET (conventions, speeches, debates etc.)

• BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in politics
• At least two years of experience in live radio broadcasting in major market or on a national level recommended
• Some experience running an audio board and/or editing audio in real-time
• Knowledge of broadcast systems and experience with fast-paced deadline driven daily news/political show is crucial
• Thorough understanding and ability to work in the areas of news and mostly politics
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels professionally
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
