The role
- We are looking for an experienced Associate Director, People Technology Functional Development to join our global People Technology team at HelloFresh, with ownership of our Core HCM and Talent systems portfolio, delivered primarily through Workday.
In this role, you will act as the senior functional partner for Core HR and Talent domains, shaping and governing ongoing functional demand and ensuring solutions are delivered consistently, safely, and at scale. You will sit at the intersection of leadership and execution, with accountability for functional quality, backlog management, and delivery outcomes.
- You will work closely with People, business, Operations, and Integrations stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality functional solutions aligned with the broader People Technology strategy.

- What you’ll do
- Own the functional quality and consistency of Core HCM and Talent solutions.
- Act as the lead functional partner for stakeholders, shaping and governing continuous demand.
- Curate and prioritise the functional backlog for changes and enhancements.
- Act as the functional solution lead for approved initiatives, accountable for end-to-end solution quality.
- Allocate and manage functional delivery capacity, ensuring work is appropriately resourced.
- Lead, develop, and performance-manage senior functional specialists within the Core HR and Talent domains.
- Partner with Operations and Integrations teams to ensure solutions are stable, secure, and operationally sustainable.
- What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of experience in People Technology, HR systems, or closely related roles, including significant experience working with Workday.
- Deep functional expertise in Workday Core HCM , with additional depth in one or more of the following areas: Recruiting, Compensation, Performance, or Talent.
- Proven experience delivering and governing complex functional solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong judgement, stakeholder management capability, and experience leading senior specialists.
- Experience operating in global, complex organisations.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
