• The Role: Lead Technician

As a Lead Technician, you’ll be responsible for leading job sites, managing small crews, and ensuring every installation meets our quality, safety, and service standards. You’ll serve as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for both clients and technicians.

• Lead and manage 1–2 technicians on-site; assign tasks, oversee installation quality, and enforce safe working practices
• Read and interpret lighting plans and layouts; lay out fixture placement, verify clearances, and optimize wiring runs
• Perform and oversee low-voltage wiring, transformer installation, and lighting/audio fixture placement
• Troubleshoot complex system issues (wiring faults, transformer problems, landscape changes, customer requests)
• Act as the main on-site client contact—explain work, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Walk jobs with clients for final aiming, adjustments, and system orientation
• Track hours, materials, and job-site documentation; report back to the office
• Manage truck/van inventory to avoid downtime or supply runs
• Mentor and train junior technicians; assist with onboarding new hires
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and enforce safety standards
• Perform physical work, including:
• Trenching and burying wire
• Assembling fixtures and speakers
• Making waterproof wire connections
• Mounting transformers
• Job-site cleanup (leave the property better than you found it)

• Fundamental Requirements (Must-Haves)
• 3+ years of experience in landscape lighting, outdoor A/V, or low-voltage electrical work
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring and field installations
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Comfortable working outdoors and using hand and power tools
• Willing and able to perform physical labor

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus
