Location: This position will be based in either San Jose, Costa Rica or Sao Paulo, Brazil. This will be a hybrid role with in-office expectations.
Databricks is seeking a qualified Attorney to join Databricks growing commercial legal team. You will be the first attorney hired to provide direct legal support to our growing commercial business in the Latin America (LatAM) region. Reporting to the Director, Assistant General Counsel, you will negotiate Master Cloud Services Agreements (MCSA), DPAs, NDAs, SOWs, and other contract terms relevant to our business (e.g., AI Terms).
You have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant commercial legal transactional experience with direct experience operating in the LatAM region. You have meaningful experience negotiating complex SaaS commercial transactions and strong knowledge/experience counseling on legal issues related to data privacy, information security, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property, including open source software.
Serve as a solutions-oriented legal business partner by providing pragmatic, sound legal counsel to internal Databricks clients and our growing customer base based on your understanding of local, regional requirements, Databricks' technology, product portfolio, information security architecture, and data privacy/compliance policies.
